NiNo Alicea is a Puerto Rican artist whose practice connects public sculpture, community murals and production design. MÚCARO is an enterable owl with reclaimed-wood feathers, an interior staircase and a rotating head; the artist records its presentation in Black Rock City, and Burning Man’s 2017 archive supplies the event year. Múcaro’s Rising takes a different form: a basketball-court mural and refurbishment in Loíza, Puerto Rico, developed with 2K Foundations and participating community members. The project page links it to recovery after Hurricane Maria without giving an installation date. NiNo also describes fabrication experience on works by Pae White, Christian Moeller and Thomas Dambo. Those contributions support his technical background while retaining the other artists’ authorship.

Nobuho Nagasawa is a New York City artist whose site-specific sculpture and installations investigate cultural memory, ecology and people’s relationship to places. Her practice combines community research with architectural and landscape interventions. Ship Shape Shifting Time at Islais Creek in San Francisco evokes a Liberty cargo ship through steel forms, paving, a historic bell and docking cleats. The artist credits site poems to George Quasha, who is also credited in the city’s collection catalog. That catalog dates the work to 2012, while Nagasawa’s project page labels it 2013; these source dates are retained without assigning a precise installation date. Transcendence of Justice, dated 2013 in her portfolio, creates an optical-fiber waterfall in John Jay College’s entrance lobby, with blue pulses synchronized to a Martin Luther King Jr. speech.

Norie Sato is a Seattle artist who develops public artworks from the conditions and meanings of particular sites. Her practice includes individual artworks, design-team collaboration and public art planning for transportation, civic and educational settings. Air Over Under, dated 2011, forms a glass façade at San Francisco International Airport’s Terminal 2. Its layered painted and silkscreened imagery explores clouds and flight; Sato credits production at Franz Mayer Studios in Munich. Unfurling a Gesture (The Nature of Persistence) combines a screen wall and stainless-steel sculpture at Seattle’s Union Street Pedestrian Bridge. A City of Seattle report confirmed installation in October 2022 and credits collaboration with Schemata Architects, James Corner Field Operations and V + M Structural. Ferns and seabirds inform its relationship to the waterfront.

Oleg Lobykin is an East Palo Alto sculptor whose practice combines stone-carving experience with contemporary sculptural forms and technology. His biography also describes work in the restoration of landmark architecture and sculpture. Sea Foam at Pacific City in Huntington Beach translates the meeting of ocean air and water into an abstract Carrara-marble form. The artist’s exhibition history records that large version as installed in December 2016; the separate small marble example on the same project page is not treated as the installed object. Talking Heads is documented in his public-art history as an eighteen-foot stainless-steel work at Burning Man in 2019. Together these projects show a practice extending from carved stone in a commercial public setting to large metal sculpture in an event landscape.

Olivia Steele uses illuminated language to introduce moments of reflection into landscapes, interiors and public places. Her hand-formed neon phrases extend into road signs, fire pieces and interventions on found objects. The artist identifies Berlin, Mexico City and Los Angeles as places where she lives and works. In Colorado, her public-art portfolio documents The Only Way Out is Through at The Aurora Highlands, a tunnel mural made with Berlin street artist SNYDER. The collaboration combines graffiti, neon and a phoenix image to address perseverance and renewal. The same portfolio records a separate PDA presentation at The Aurora Highlands. Those entries show different ways textual art can operate in a neighborhood setting, but neither supplies an installation year or dimensions. The tunnel collaboration is credited to both artists.

Oz Wilcox develops participatory installations built around anonymous secrets, enclosed spaces, sound and transformation. Burning Man’s archives identify him from Richland, Washington; the 2022 project 38 explicitly credits Oz Wilcox – CrazySafe Art. Big Dirty Secret is described as a walk-in office-like cube where visitors encounter and share secrets. Spiral of Secrets organizes four winding passages around an atrium and includes a mural direction credit for CaroCaro. Atomic Secrets revisits the collected material inside another cube with printed cards and a sound collage. These references document the artist’s festival practice across 2018–2025. Described burn effects and planned structures are treated as project descriptions, not proof that a particular burn occurred or that any structure remains available.

Paige Tashner makes illuminated, participatory metal sculptures from her Point Richmond practice, often using cats as a way to invite play and connection. Stardust, a flying-saucer-shaped bench with suspended lights, was installed at Burning Man in 2018 and subsequently shown at the Portland Winter Light Festival. The Purr Pods followed in 2019 as large mild-steel cats inspired by her pets. Trust debuted in 2023 as five cat forms arranged in a circle, with activities intended to connect visitors. Her portfolio distinguishes later presentations of individual Trust cats from the original complete configuration. The artist also reports that Purrmaid, a cat-and-mermaid installation focused on kelp forests, reached Burning Man in 2026. That recent presentation is attributed to the artist’s dated project history, without asserting independently verified current siting.

Peter Hazel creates large sculptures using glass, ceramic mosaics, steel and lighting, drawing on a long career in tile work. His studio biography places his current headquarters at Artech in northeast Reno. His portfolio includes Bloom, a forty-foot jellyfish assembled from 1,600 recycled fused-glass jellyfish bowls, and identifies the project as a Burning Man Honorarium work in 2017 and 2018. Fly By combines fused glass, steel and LEDs; the artist records displays at Burning Man in 2015 and at South Lake Tahoe and Reno venues in 2016. His Dragonfly at Virginia Lake is documented as a public art installation for the City of Reno, using steel, glass and recycled ceramics. These examples span festival-scale environments and civic outdoor sculpture.

Philip DePoala makes sculpture and interactive installations that connect figurative forms, masks and questions about perception. Trained at the Woodstock School of Art and Pratt Institute, he has collaborated with EDGE Neuroscience & Art and its president Tatiana Lupashina since 2018. Together they lead Oculus, a luminous eye sculpture that explores visual perception; Burning Man’s 2022 archive credits both artists with EDGE. His 2018 project Are You My Mother?, credited with Intrepid Arts, is described as a tall steel automaton holding a humanoid infant. Bats in the Belfry, credited to DePoala with EDGE in the 2025 archive, combines a mask shrine, animated LED pathways and a participant-operated gong. These are distinct documented projects; their present locations and availability are unconfirmed.
