Big Art Partners services

Public art consulting
& sculpture planning.

Give a big idea a place to begin.

Public art services for municipalities, nonprofits and developers: artist curation, sculpture production feasibility, artwork placement and commissioning support.

A meaningful project starts with a clear purpose. Whether you are shaping a public space, considering an existing artwork or developing a commission, we help frame the choices that connect artistic ambition with a workable brief.

Choose the decision you need to make.

Which artistic direction belongs here?

A possible output

Can a particular work have a future here?

Artwork placement planning ↗

Plan an existing sculpture purchase, loan or temporary installation: work identity, owner permission, site fit, transport, care and removal.

A possible output

Placement brief, confirmation checklist and care responsibilities

How do we organize the commission?

Commissioning support ↗

Public art consulting for municipalities, nonprofits and developers: define the commissioning brief, selection process, budget scope and approval responsibilities.

A possible output

Commissioning brief, decision plan and scope for the next phase

A defined scope comes first

Start with the work that will clarify the project.

Services can be combined or scoped around one decision. A proposal sets out deliverables, required inputs, responsibilities, exclusions and the basis for fees and timing. No price or delivery date is established by choosing a service page.

Artist participation, rights, site suitability and production capacity need project-specific confirmation. A planning engagement does not automatically include fabrication, installation or an artwork acquisition.
