Sam Cooler is a Bay Area engineer and maker of interactive installations that connect physical movement with light, sound and programmed effects. The Dancing Forest links swiveling steel poles with elastic cords so participants influence one another through a shared moving structure. Light Curve, created in 2024, places controlled flame effects on a participant-driven pendulum. Cooler’s portfolio also documents Fantasmophone, an interactive sound sculpture with LEDs and surrounding speakers, and electronics work with the Flaming Lotus Girls. Burning Man’s 2018 and 2024 archive entries credit Art for Open Spaces alongside Cooler for Dancing Forest and Light Curve. These projects document an interdisciplinary practice in structures, electronics and software; their event listings and portfolio descriptions do not establish current installation condition or commercial availability.

Scott Froschauer is a Los Angeles artist whose experiential practice draws on engineering, design, computing and fabrication. He explores communication through objects that initially resemble familiar elements of everyday life. The Word on the Street adopts the materials and visual conventions of road signs, replacing prohibitions and warnings with encouraging messages. The series asks passers-by to notice an unexpected difference in an apparently ordinary setting. His portfolio documents twenty signs distributed through Glendale parks and libraries, and three pieces in the Renwick Gallery’s 2018 No Spectators exhibition. It separately identifies The 10 Principles at Reno Playa Art Park. These are presentation references within a broader series; the undated city entries do not establish present display status, ownership or permission to place functional traffic signs.

Seward Johnson (1930–2020) was an American sculptor whose practice encompassed life-size figures, enlarged cultural images and sculptural environments inspired by painting. His atelier documents the Monumental Scale series and his founding of the Johnson Atelier in 1974 and Grounds For Sculpture in 1992. This historical profile focuses on contemporary sculpture and the experience of encountering it in a public landscape. The Grounds For Sculpture record for The Awakening identifies a cast-aluminum collection version dated 2014, numbered 4/8. Its records also distinguish the 2012 aluminum-and-wood God Bless America from the 2003 styrofoam A Turn of the Century. Those object-specific dates, materials and editions must not be applied to every version of the works. The profile does not imply current services by the deceased artist or availability through Big Art Partners.

Silvia López Chavez is a visual artist working in murals, painting, and printmaking. Her artist statement places her practice in Boston and describes neighborhood participation as part of how she develops mural content. Her imagery combines realistic figures with vivid geometric patterns. Northeastern University documents 999 Cranes (2018) and Joy (2019) at Ruggles Station, where painted hands, origami and a woman blowing bubbles transform the transit entrance. For Patterned Behavior on Boston’s Esplanade, she worked with a team of women artists on a commission from the Esplanade Association, curated and produced by Now + There. Community Tides (2023), created with New Bedford High School students through DATMA and NORPEL, translates local landscapes and fishing-community life into a large exterior mural on Fish Island.

Sneha Shrestha, known as IMAGINE, brings Devanagari letterforms and graffiti influences into murals, painting and sculpture. Her practice connects language and cultural memory with the experience of shared space. For Cambridge, With Love from Nepal, dated 2018, occupies an MIT building in Cambridge’s Central Square and draws on a Nepali poem. Mindful Mandalas, dated 2019 in her portfolio, was developed with approximately one hundred young participants from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston’s community partners; their small mandalas were incorporated into three large forms painted by Shrestha. Love and Maya, dated 2022, created an interactive mural environment at Boston Children’s Museum, using collaboration between visitors to illuminate paintings. Her portfolio credits Black Cat Labs with engineering that installation.

Stanislav Shminke works with Irina Shminke in a Reno-based practice spanning public art, light art and site-specific installations. Their joint portfolio documents Mir or, a steel installation presented at Burning Man in 2024, and Desert Splash, a fiberglass pool environment from the 2023 event. Burning Man credits both artists for Glorywall in 2018 and Desert Splash, while its 2022 DIPTOWN entry names Stanislav for a landscape of rooftops suggesting a town buried beneath the playa. The official portfolio also includes DIPTOWN within their shared body of work. Washoe County independently identifies the two as Reno-based artists. This individual profile retains Stanislav’s identity while making Irina’s collaboration explicit; a shared portfolio is not evidence of sole authorship or a separate solo studio.
