Documented artwork / data-responsive light sculpture
VIRTUAL SKY
Credit as documented: Susan Narduli / Narduli Studio
Narduli Studio's Virtual Sky spans two public atriums of the Oklahoma City Convention Center. Dated 2021 by the studio, the LED sculpture responds to climate information obtained through the city's open data portals. Software analyzes the incoming data and turns it into changing patterns of light, motion and color. The installation connects an indoor architectural experience to the variability of the surrounding Oklahoma environment, rather than repeating a fixed sequence of images.
