Documented artwork / illuminated public sculpture

Harmonic Ascension

Cliff Garten Studio

Credit as documented: Cliff Garten Studio

Harmonic Ascension transforms the outline of a violin into an electric guitar within a spiraling stainless steel form. Cliff Garten Studio relates the resulting silhouette to a dancing figure. The twenty-five-foot illuminated sculpture stands in the downtown Las Vegas civic-center setting between City Hall and the courthouse. The city commissioned it through its Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs public-art program.

Materials and construction

The studio credits Yetiweurks for engineering, Metal Arts Foundry for fabrication, Sixto Cordero and Esther Ho on its team, and Cliff Garten Studio, CLS and Rich Molinero for illumination. Its project is dated 2026; the city's currently accessible page still describes completion as anticipated in May 2026, so a precise installation date remains unconfirmed.
