Documented artwork / suspended glass installation

Glasshouse Sculpture

Dale Chihuly

Credit as documented: Dale Chihuly

Dale Chihuly's suspended Glasshouse sculpture extends one hundred feet through the conservatory-like centerpiece of Chihuly Garden and Glass. Hundreds of hand-blown forms create a composition in red, yellow and orange. Chihuly worked closely with the project architect to develop a building suited to the work, drawing on his longstanding interest in conservatories. The exhibition's account places installation in March 2012 and its public opening on May 21 that year.
