Studio sound and interaction documentation

A playable garden with recorded brass instruments

The studio connects Trumpet Flowers to vintage gramophones and describes an original soundtrack made with Otis Studio and Sydney jazz musicians. Recorded tuba, trumpet, trombone and drum performances form part of the interactive experience; credits also name composer Carlos Arango. Hosts should plan the work as both a sculpture grouping and an audible participatory installation. Dates and the offered configuration remain unconfirmed.

Historical Chatswood Mall festival configuration

A larger garden documented at Chatswood

The official Chatswood festival media sheet describes a grouping of forty Trumpet Flowers in Chatswood Mall, with large keys that visitors could play. This provides a useful precedent for a dispersed musical garden. It should be kept separate from the current studio page’s footprint: the historical flower count does not establish the size or number of elements in a new booking.
