River Soundings

Haddad|Drugan

Credit as documented: Laura Haddad and Tom Drugan (Haddad|Drugan)

River Soundings translates nearby river depth into a sixty-foot sculpture at Rivermark. Laura Haddad and Tom Drugan combine a spiral steel frame, cable sounding lines, reflective weights and wind-responsive blue discs. Etched pilings extend the river references. Jefferson Apartment Group and Haverford Development Partners commissioned it through Philadelphia Housing Development Corporation's public-art program; it honors Michael Edward Haddad and Matthew Charles Houder.
