Oracle

Sanford Biggers

Credit as documented: Sanford Biggers

Sanford Biggers's bronze Oracle combines a seated figure recalling Zeus at Olympia with a head drawn from African masks and busts. Art Production Fund commissioned it with Marianne Boesky Gallery for Rockefeller Center's 2021 presentation. The Hammer Museum later presented the same work on its Wilshire Boulevard sculpture pedestal, ending that exhibition in July 2024. These are historical presentations; neither establishes the sculpture's present location or availability.
