A documented Hangzhou scale

Cyril Lancelin’s project page identifies Knot as an inflatable sculpture installed in Hangzhou, China, in 2017, with dimensions of thirty by eight by eight metres. Those figures describe the documented presentation. They give a useful scale reference while leaving the dimensions, inflation equipment and support arrangements for another proposed version to be established.

Visitors discover the route from within

Balloon Museum describes Knot through the geometry of a clover knot and a labyrinth-like experience. Its large red volumes limit an overview of the surrounding space, encouraging visitors to discover directions as they move. The curatorial account makes circulation and the relationship between entry, exploration and exit central subjects for a host’s layout discussion.
