Documented artwork / temporary woven installation

Finders Keepers

Patrick Dougherty

Credit as documented: Patrick Dougherty

Finders Keepers groups seven folded, fluted towers around two courtyards beside the Center for the Arts in Jackson, Wyoming. Patrick Dougherty describes alcoves that visitors can enter and woven windows framing village and mountain views. Local willow forms the installation, tucked into a corner of the Center’s grounds because the larger park lawn serves other events. The artist dates the work August 2022; the host says local volunteers helped build it over three weeks.

Materials and construction

The artist gives a 30-by-20-foot plan and 16-foot height. The host locates the sapling harvest in Teton and Sublette Counties. Dougherty credits son Sam’s design and construction contribution across his ten large 2022 works.

Presentation and site context

The Center calls the sculpture temporary. Its September 2022–December 2026 event listing is not proof of either the installation day or a completed removal.
