Documented artwork / site-specific willow installation in and on a schoolhouse replica

Daydreams

Patrick Dougherty

Credit as documented: Patrick Dougherty; schoolhouse replica planned by Max Anthon of JxM and built by CTA Architects of Bozeman

Daydreams places Patrick Dougherty's willow sculpture inside and across a newly constructed replica of a Montana schoolhouse at Tippet Rise. The 2015 work contains five interior elements and two connected exterior pieces. Its building partly protects the woven material from the weather while providing the classroom setting that gives the title its meaning. Tippet Rise credits Max Anthon of JxM with planning a replica of the nearby Stockade School and CTA Architects of Bozeman with building it.
