How the program works
Greenway murals establish a regional selection precedent
Germantown’s April 2026 update documents a 75-mile-radius mural call and selection of ten artists or teams from 49 eligible applicants. The Riverwood tunnel project responds to Wolf River ecology and recreation. Those mural eligibility terms should not be assumed for a later sculpture call.
The same update plans seven concrete pads between Nashoba Park and Farmington Boulevard for a future sculpture-loan exhibition. Pad locations account for floodplain, erosion and safety factors. The announcement describes preparation, not confirmation that an individual sculpture is approved or that the loan call remains open.
What flood exposure and attachment loads must the selected sculpture accommodate?
Community metalworking accompanies bronze public art
The program’s opportunities page announces Discover Germantown: nine bronze wolf sculptures and a November 2026 kickoff with the Metal Museum’s mobile foundry. Participants can make aluminum tiles. It demonstrates a production-and-engagement partnership, not a solicitation for another fabricator or an open sculpture commission.
