Research notes for project planning
What the project record tells us
2016 Panorama version and subsequent Boston iteration
An infinity room shaped by circulation
For INFINITY — Tiles of Virtual Space, collaborator Enviral Design credits Gabriel Pulecio with concept, design and fabrication, while describing its own work on playback software, Kinect input and LED effects. The 2016 Panorama Music Festival version used an open walkthrough configuration because of the tent geometry and visitor flow; a later Boston installation offered a more enclosed experience. This makes circulation a substantive design variable. Would a proposed setting prioritize continuous movement through the work or sustained immersion within a more bounded room?

Sensing visitors across two distinct installations
Polygonfuture’s 2018 account separates Infinity Portal, built for New York City, from Six-Thousand Infinity Room, a site-specific installation for a private collector in Tulum. Gabriel Pulecio commissioned the collaborator’s software, LED content system and hardware engineering. Sensors detected people, while the system could receive TouchDesigner content or play local video files. These are useful distinctions between artistic concept, interaction and playback infrastructure. For a comparable commission, which behaviors should respond to visitors, and which sequences should continue when the room is empty?

Big Art Partners planning prompt Gallery documentation of an interactive sound-and-light wall
An interactive wall with changing perspective
Casa Hoffmann identifies Infinity V2 Playgrounds as an interactive sound-and-light installation. Its account describes a wall whose changing patterns, colors and forms make unpredictability visible while shifting the viewer’s sense of space and perspective. The version name matters: it supplies a specific reference for Pulecio’s work without assuming that every Infinity project shares the same enclosure or interaction system. For an installation brief, how would the wall’s visibility, approach distance and audience movement help visitors recognize that the work is changing?
