Elektra: coordination across mechanical and media systems
Engineered Artworks documents Elektra as a private commission fabricated with a team of more than 60 artists and technical collaborators. The mobile dragon combines retractable hydraulic wings, translucent polycarbonate scales, programmable lighting, audio and flame effects. The studio lists a 60-foot wingspan and roughly 210,000 addressable LEDs. These details make Elektra a reference for coordinating multiple specialties within one sculpture; they do not establish that a similar system is appropriate for every public site.

Little Big House: fabrication for an artist-led park commission
The studio records a 2026 installation of Little Big House at Heritage Park in San Ramon, California. It credits Roberto Behar and Rosario Marquardt of R&R Studios as the artists and describes an oversized house form with seating and a canopy that visitors can enter. Engineered Artworks identifies its own contribution as technical design, fabrication, finishing, transport coordination and installation, including heavy equipment for final placement. The distinction between artistic authorship and fabrication scope is explicit.

Day for Night: maintaining public art after opening
For Jim Campbell’s Day for Night on San Francisco’s Salesforce Tower, Engineered Artworks identifies a preservation and restoration role alongside digital-media specialist Float4. Its account describes a façade installation of more than 11,000 programmed LEDs across the upper eight floors and ongoing attention to system performance and lighting technology. This is a maintenance reference rather than a claim that the studio authored the artwork, and it broadens the practice beyond initial fabrication.
