Shaved Portions: transformed tires at monumental scale

Washington University’s account describes Shaved Portions as cut and woven tires attached to a steel armature. Originally commissioned by Oklahoma Contemporary and installed in 2021, it was presented at WashU for the 2022–23 academic year through the Kemper Art Museum’s Art on Campus program. These dated presentations demonstrate institutional exhibition history without implying present availability.

Serendipity: a sculptural screen in shared space

Public Art Fund records Booker’s Serendipity in Beyond the Monument at Brooklyn’s MetroTech Center in 1998–99. The work was a 60-foot perforated wooden screen textured with salvaged tires. Its format offers a historical reference for thinking about sculpture as a boundary, surface or spatial intervention rather than only a freestanding object.
