Documented selection route
Art Design Board reviews eligible submissions, may shortlist/interview artists and recommends selections for mayoral approval. Certain projects use a competitively selected Utah-resident artist pool; inclusion does not guarantee a commission.
Program history & cadence
Project-dependent commissioning; Arts Council overview describes 1.5% of eligible city project funds. It identifies the pool term as 2026–2028, while the older public-art About paragraph remains 2023–2025. The calls index explicitly lists the 2026–2028 pool application as closed and supplies no individual open call.
A documented program is not a current invitation to apply. Selection routes and program history reflect the linked dated sources. Confirm current availability, eligibility and application terms with the organizer.
