MTA Arts & Design · New York, US
Documented selection route
Artists submit images through MTA's Submittable portal. A panel selects finalists for paid proposals, followed by artist selection for each station; approved fabricators work on the permanent pieces.
Program history & cadence
Standing permanent percent-for-art program with project-specific calls. The retained LIRR call closes November 20, 2026; no fixed future call cadence or funding percentage is inferred.
A documented program is not a current invitation to apply. Selection routes and program history reflect the linked dated sources. Confirm current availability, eligibility and application terms with the organizer.
