How the program works

Allied Artists gain experience on major commissions

El Paso’s Allied Artist pool is a local artist-development route. Selected participants assist artists commissioned on projects of $125,000 or more, gaining technical and administrative experience. Matches consider experience, medium and interests, and participants chosen for a project are compensated. Artists must reapply every two years. The city labels the pool continuous, but joining it is an application for possible supporting work rather than an award of a lead artist commission.
