Local Edition Creative, for the City of Oakley

One-year outdoor exhibition of medium-sized freestanding sculpture, not large monumental works, at four Main Street sites including City Hall Plaza (pad up to 5 x 5 ft; works up to 11 ft tall and 10 ft wide). The City can fabricate pads; a forklift is available. Animal or nature themes and reclaimed materials are of interest.
The City describes a West Coast call including California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington and Oregon, with local preference. Existing, complete, installation-ready medium-scale works only; no speculative renderings. Up to three submissions; artist or representative handles delivery, installation and removal, with a 12-month commitment.
The public CaFE legalAgreement offers selected artists a $2,500–$5,000 stipend depending on the submitted piece. It is all-inclusive of artist costs, including transport to and from the site, display preparation/modifications, and installation/deinstallation labor. Local Edition Creative retains a 12% commission on works sold during the exhibition. This is an exhibition honorarium, not a purchase price or guaranteed award. Existing City pad/forklift assistance remains separately described.
