Downtown Louisville functional public-art installation

The opportunity

Relocatable outdoor installation addressing seating, shade or lighting, with maintenance and future relocation planning.

Who can apply

Artists, collectives and multidisciplinary studios; Kentucky residency earns selection points. Geographic restriction not established in reviewed notice.

Funding & costs

Published RFQ range covers travel, artist/design compensation, insurance, materials, equipment, fabrication and installation. The issuer’s September 28 Q&A describes a ceiling of $75,000 including installation, without restating the $70,000 lower figure. It assigns maintenance to LDP and says artists need not budget for that work, but must supply care recommendations. The RFQ range and Q&A ceiling remain separately attributed.
