Mechan 14: a civic sculpture with seasonal accessories
The City of Norman records Mechan 14's dedication at Reaves Park on December 5, 2023. Tyler FuQua Creations designed the robot with accessories that switch its character between a baseball player and an armored knight, reflecting the park's youth sports and annual Medieval Fair. This municipal project offers a specific example of a sculptural character tied to recurring local activities. Its changing presentation also creates a practical conversation about storing components and coordinating seasonal changes.

Mechan 42: a light-festival commission in a street plaza
Portland's January 2024 plaza newsletter identifies Mechan 42, the Space Explorer, as the first artwork commissioned for Portland Winter Light Festival. The 17-foot robot appeared at NW 13th Avenue Plaza with more than 100 LEDs, illuminated rivets, a jetpack and an astronaut helmet. The notice scheduled its stay through March 2024. This documents a temporary partnership between a light festival and a municipal public-space program, rather than evidence of the sculpture being there today.

Mechan 9: a character embedded in an art destination
AREA15's art directory credits Tyler Fuqua Creations with Mechan 9 and classifies the work as a permanent installation. Its description presents a giant robot partly buried in the ground, with hatches and unfamiliar text that invite close looking and interpretation. This venue record supplies a concrete destination-art context for the Mechan series. It does not provide a fabrication specification, authorize climbing or opening components, or imply that this particular installed sculpture can be acquired.
