Jeff Schomberg is a Reno-based artist and fabricator working with steel, stainless steel and aluminum. His Monumental Word Series is a collaboration with Laura Kimpton, combining large letterforms, perforated bird silhouettes and illumination in public gathering places. Washoe County documents their BELIEVE at Reno’s City Plaza; Downtown Arlington credits both artists for DREAM, acquired in 2015 and relocated to Rotary Dream Park in 2024. Engineering collaborator RBHU records the pair’s XO outside Terminal B at San José Mineta International Airport as completed in 2022. Schomberg’s artist biography also describes fabrication collaboration with Hank Willis Thomas.
