Her Secret is Patience: engineering the space around a net
For the 2009 Phoenix commission, Echelman lists a 100-by-100-by-62-foot net separately from the larger installation dimensions. The work uses high-tenacity polyester, steel and programmed lighting above Civic Space Park. Credits identify the city client and separate fabrication, net, aeronautical, foundation and lighting specialists.

Bending Arc: permanent waterfront sculpture and supporting infrastructure
Echelman’s 2020 St. Petersburg project uses suspended fiber, steel masts, concrete foundations and programmed lighting. The studio credits Arup for sculpture engineering and lighting. It describes separate funding for the sculpture and the surrounding infrastructure, a useful precedent for considering the entire project cost rather than only the art object.
