Iyvone Khoo

Iyvone Khoo works with installations, projected light and biological materials. At UC San Diego’s Latz Laboratory, her artist residencies explored imaging the bioluminescence of dinoflagellates. With marine biologist Michael Latz, she developed Infinity Cube, an immersive reflective environment with video and sound shown at Birch Aquarium during 2017–2018. Her later Burning Man collaborations with Miguel Guzman connect mythological forms with mycelium and reused materials. The event archive documents Rain God, Chaac in 2023 and the lotus-shaped A Moment in an Aeon in 2024. Ancestors of Dawn appears in the 2025 archive, with the Honoraria announcement additionally crediting Dust Spores Studio. This individual profile keeps those collaborators visible and treats festival descriptions as project documentation, with current base and work availability unconfirmed.
