Giuseppe Palumbo

Giuseppe Palumbo uses animals, human gestures and familiar objects to explore social behavior through sculpture. His statement connects myth, metaphor and humor with questions about the human condition. The Mostly Mammals portfolio gives animals recognizable attitudes, including sheep that suggest both group behavior and individuality. It identifies a bronze One More Time at the Beverly Hills Civic Center entrance, while separately listing another work of that title with different dimensions. His commissions page describes Timberwolf as a monumental bronze wolf and states that its commission began in 2021; it does not establish a public installation site. The Plight of Humanity series expands this vocabulary into steel, bronze and cement-composite works, including enlarged safety pins, hand gestures and forms more than eight feet high.
