What the project record tells us
Announced 2023 SAT PARALLELS screening program
A five-minute film for different immersive formats
Baba’s SILKROADIA announcement for SAT PARALLELS identifies a five-minute work in 4K fulldome and VR360 formats, with visuals credited to Fusako and music to Schusei. The imagined Silk Road journey was selected for a ten-film program at the Society for Arts and Technology, announced for January through April 2023. That record connects a specific audiovisual work to curated dome programming. Which delivery format, sound configuration and screening sequence would a prospective host need to preserve the intended relationship between color, movement and music?

Big Art Partners planning prompt Mississauga Celebration Square, June–August 2021
Hidden Garden on a civic screen
Hidden Garden reached an outdoor civic setting through its explicitly identified Flat Screen version. Baba’s retrospective account records the work in Art on the Screens at Mississauga Celebration Square from June through August 2021, with documentation credited to the City of Mississauga Public Art Program. This is evidence of a particular adaptation and presentation context, useful when comparing screen-based art with dome work. For a similar public screen, how would the program communicate the version, viewing duration and best audience position within an active square?

Big Art Partners planning prompt Ceiling projection at Otaru Art Base, documented from 2017
Projection composed for a historic ceiling
Si–Ki was developed as ceiling video mapping for the former Mitsui Bank Otaru Branch at Otaru Art Base. Baba’s project account says she created the mapped imagery when the venue opened in 2017, identifies the installation as permanent, and records continuation of screenings in 2019. The architectural surface is therefore part of the work’s presentation history. When commissioning imagery for a similarly detailed interior, which ceiling features, visitor sightlines and projection positions should be surveyed before the visual composition is finalized?
