Tara Mechani: reclaimed parts and an illuminated figure
Albany describes Tara Mechani as a 14-foot figure on a three-foot metal pedestal, for a total height of 17 feet. Its assembled parts include salvaged hardware, copper, brass and stainless steel; a chandelier made from repurposed brass arms lights the figure from within. The page’s Reno exhibition notice ends in 2024, so it does not establish the sculpture’s location today.

Bone Tree: a mobile sculpture shaped by the desert
Albany’s account dates Bone Tree to Burning Man in 1999 and lists bones, steel and moss, with a height of 27 feet. Conceived as a mobile sculpture for a procession through the Black Rock landscape, it later returned to the playa through 2014. The project connects a specific environment, collected material and a participatory event.

For your project briefWould the project be experienced from a fixed location or through a procession, and how would that change its presentation?
