The Flybrary: a sculpture with an interior program

Sporrong describes The Flybrary as a steel head topped by aluminum birds shaped like books. During its Burning Man installation, the interior held multiple levels of books, reading spaces and neuron-inspired chandeliers. That interior program adds a distinct use to the sculptural landmark; it should not be assumed to accompany every presentation.
